Though it doesn’t always make the headlines, cricket is one of the biggest sports in the world. As such, there are millions of people that enjoy a good game of cricket, particularly those hailing from the United Kingdom and South Asia, with others across the globe also taking part in this bat and ball game.
That’s why Ria has proudly stepped up as the title partner of the 2025 Weston Shield, a cricket tournament that will bring together players from four cricketing regions in a 5-day contest. The Weston Shield is a premier tournament that unites four cricketing regions (teams Europe, Asia, the UK & Ireland, and the World) in an exhilarating contest. The competition serves as a vital platform for emerging talent, allowing players to shine on a global stage while competing alongside cricketing legends.
When it comes to the Weston Shield cricket players, each team is joined by cricketer from their region, serving as both mentor and teammate, creating a blend of youthful enthusiasm and seasoned experience. Joe Burns will play for Europe XI, Saeed Ajmal for Asia XI, Kevin O’Brien for British & Irish XI and Ross Taylor for World XI.

The tournament is scheduled to take place between the 19th and 23rd February at the ever-sunny Cártama Oval in Málaga, Spain. This venue will witness intense T10 format matches, with teams battling for supremacy in a fast-paced and thrilling environment.

The Weston Shield tournament, named in honor of Daniel Weston, the founder of the European Cricket Network, is dedicated to expanding the sport’s reach and providing an international platform for developing players.
